little acts of kindness.
by zeb injust had a coffee on way home when two young mums with babys in strollers came in with the usual bags and stuff for the little ones needs.
i recall our days of little ones and the times we rarely went out.. i bought a coffee voucher for each mum and gave them my best wishes.
i delight in doing random acts of kindness.. i wish everyone here as well a safe and happy christmas/ new year time.

I get so much joy from random acts of kindness. Just a small way to appreciate everyone. -

Do You Feels That Your Life Was Ruined Because of Ypur JW Experience?
by minimus ini know that some are upset because of the time lost because of ever having been a witness.
have you moved on as an ex jw or are you stil devastated because of your past jw lige?.

Early in my exit a counselor asked me if the JW experience was what i wanted to define the rest of my life. The answer was no way, I want to put this behind me and move on.... and so I did.
I would not let them have the satisfaction of ruining my life. Have you ever seen the glee when someone who has exited the JWs, life goes to shit? Wasn’t going to let that happen.
In some respect it has made me stronger, I had to leave everything behind, parents, family, friends, everything familiar. I have confidence that I can handle anything that comes my way, having had to grow up without the safety net of family and find my own way.
I am happy, successful, and educated. Take that Watchtower!

Best advice I was given is to separate my emotions from it and see it for what it is - emotional manipulation at its finest. Once you can see that it’s all BS, it frees you from their reach. When they do things like this - see it for what it is.
Refuse to engage, my husband says that people make the mistake of treating JWs like they are normal people, they are not. They do not think like normal human people, it’s always about manipulation, to get you to come back, to get you to view the elders as relevant to your life etc.
Dont fall for it.

Throw it away. They are using a child to emotionally engage you. It is a manipulation.

Are You Spending More Money This Year With The Economy Being Better?
by minimus ini see more people this year in an optimistic mood because of the economy.
will you be spending more money 💰 this year, or less or about the same as last year?.

But you’ve got to have some fun sometimes too.
Retirement savings - check
emergency fund savings - check
paying off debt on an accelerated plan - check
Spending a little extra every now and again doesn’t hurt 😀 🎁 🎄I missed so many Christmas’s due to the cult. It is fun to buy gifts for people, when you find something you know they are going to love.

In general spend the same, I don’t have any large purchases planned for 2018.

Hee Haw was not clean
by The Real Edward Gentry inso, my son bought me a device that allows me to look up and watch anything i want.
i remember years ago , i enjoyed the television show hee haw on sunday evenings.
i naively thought it was wholesome family entertainment.

Hee Haw is hardly the cause of moral degradation of the free world. I would suggest hiding in your bunker without television if Hee Haw has you this tangled up.

You may PRETEND to care - in reality you are SELFISH!
by wannabefree inthat;s what my wife (and all jw's) gets to hear about us at the kingdom hall today, (hmmmm, i wonder if she'll raise her hand to answer this one) ... .
watchtower study ... today, apostates and others who create divisions in the congregation use “smooth talk and flattering speech.” (romans 16:17, 18) they may pretend to care about others, but in reality, they are selfish.. (the watchtower - study edition (simplified version) 10/17 page 4 paragraph 7).

My sister said the same thing about one of her disfellowshipped children (when she was still speaking to me)That he was being selfish because he didn’t want to return to the JW idiocy.
To which I replied, so it’s selfish if he does what he wants to do, but you’re not selfish for insisting that everyone live their life the way YOU see fit?!?!
JWs are master manipulators.

What Makes Someone Become a JW?

The JWs got my parents when they were in a vulnerable emotional state and the rest is history. Neither of my parents home life’s were ideal, throw in Vietnam and some other emotional upheavals and in come the Witnesses to offer their false hopes.
